Position Description - Leads and participates in medium- to large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects - Leads the work of other small groups of six to ten engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects - Troubleshoots business and production issues - Supports business objectives - Leads the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design - Develops Innovation strategies, processes, and best practices - Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects - Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates - Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity - Ensures business needs are being met Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree and 7 years experience building scalable e-commerce applications or mobile software Additional Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications 2 or more years experience programming in Ruby, Java or Python 2 or more years experience with No SQL, RDBMS, ORM, Caching, ESB and Web Services 2 years experience in Agile methodology experience with Linux systems programming is a plus experience in distributed/scalable systems is a plus knowledge of standard tools for optimizing and testing code ability to operate effectively and independently in a dynamic, fluid environment the eagerness to change the world in a huge way by being a self-motivated learner and builder
