Job Description
This position will be responsible for the recruitment and placement of construction related positions such as construction supervisors, heavy equipment operators, mechanics, truck drivers, welders, general laborers and infrastructure maintenance personnel.
Travel will be required to hold recruitment events in communities throughout Texas.
Job Responsibilities:
- Sourcing candidates using various methods eg. walk-ins, community job fairs, referrals, social networks and job boards
- Competency based interview with all candidates
- Provide excellent candidate support – to include 'keep in touch' calls, provision of feedback and post placement care
- Establish a database of applicants
- Organize and attend candidate events
- Achieve targeted candidate placement ratios
- Manage the whole job cycle from vacancy to placement
- Manage own recruitment process with a defined selection process agreable with operations management
- Source and give relevant feedback in a constructive manner to clients and candidates
- Negotiate offers and manage new starter process
- I-9 and E-Verify validation
- DOT validation support with safety department
Desired Skills Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of practical staffing and HR related experience in the construction services industry, preferably in pipeline construction
- A four year degree from an accredited university or comparable experience highly preferred
- Ability to work in field construction offices
- Ability to build and maintain client and candidate relationships
- Ability to liaise at all levels to all personalities
- Knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages
- Knowledge of recruitment related employment law
- Knowledge of DOT screening processes
- Bilingual a must
