Business Overview
The Staffing organization works closely with Fidelity Investments business partners to understand their business objectives and provide consultative support by attracting and recruiting the right people for Fidelity Investments. This position is aligned to manage the staffing and relationship management efforts in support of Fidelity's Information Technology organizations and the Leap Program, a college level recruiting, training and development program.
Staffing Team Lead, Information Technology
As a Team Lead for IT Staffing reporting to the Director of Technology Staffing, your main responsibilities will be as follows:
- Manage the daily recruiting activities of 4 Staffing Consultants to include workbench management, performance management and overall team leadership.
- Manage the relationship with the Leap Program Office to include the program head, senior managers and project management.
- Manage a work bench of 7-10 requisitions, providing day to day staffing support for the hiring managers.
- Partner with College Relations to ensure close integration of our on campus branding and recruiting efforts and the needs of the business.
Leadership and Team Management: Provide coaching, direction and performance management to the IT Staffing Consultants and to the Leap staffing team. Ensure workflows and workloads are balanced across the team, promoting consistency in best practices and protocols and that sufficient measures are in place to track results. As a Team Lead, you will partner with the Staffing Consultants to develop sourcing plans which will ensure robust and diverse slates of highly qualified candidates. In addition, you will oversee the offer process by engaging the Staffing Consultants and internal business partners (Background Investigations, Staffing Support Center) to ensure efficient management of the process and that issues are mitigated in an efficient and risk conscious manner. From a performance management perspective, the Team Lead will work closely with the Staffing Consultants, vocalizing a clear vision for team and individual goals as well as provide coaching and career development support; specifically around Sourcing, Client Engagement, Interviewing and Offer Management.
Relationship Management: Team Lead will serve as the point of contact to IT managers and for the Leap Program Office, partnering with this group to help drive planning, ongoing discussion/debrief on results, reporting, and general logistics around planning and executing a high volume hiring initiative for professional positions. Engages partners as necessary for services needed to support the hiring process.
Manage a Workbench of 7-10 requisitions: Responsible for full life cycle recruiting for a workbench of 7-10 requisitions.
Partner with College Relations: Serve as the point of contact for Leap Hiring and the College Relations team. Closely partner with College Relations Managers to ensure they are clear as to business goals/needs and that their expertise is closely integrated into the Leap hiring strategy. Provide feedback as to line manager/recruiter experiences on campus and use the learning's to help ensure a strong Fidelity technology brand on targeted campuses.
Hiring Management Systems: Processes and manages data for one or more types or recruiting, sourcing or hiring transactions, researches and responds to customer inquiries and resolves issues, describes current hiring management system workflow processes.
Manages Execution of Intern Hiring: Individual will lead the planning and execution of the Technology Intern hiring. Team Lead will manage relationships with key business partners and college relations, as well as managing resources aligned with the work from planning through execution and review.
Education and Experience:
- College Degree Preferred or Equivalent Work Experience
- Bachelors or equivalent with 10-12+ years of experience or Masters with 8-10+ years of experience
- Prior experience managing a team required
- Previous experience with High Volume/College IT Recruiting is a strong plus
Skills and Knowledge:
- Leverages Staffing expertise, organizational knowledge, and sound business judgment in order to contribute to the business and build credibility with clients
- Exposure to high volume professional staffing and recruiting strategies.
- Excellent interviewing skills and practices
- Skilled in professionally presenting to senior manager audiences
- Strong technology application skills, proficiency in MS Office required
- Proficiency in web-based recruiting systems
