Job Description This exciting opportunity is designed for students in the Mechanical Engineering area of study. Strong communication and computer skills are essential as well as a general knowledge of mechanical design and process. Improving the design review process, current standards and implementing better auditing tools will be the primary focus in addition to supporting the development and implementation of the following Standards: Design Standard components Processes Procedures BOM (New P1 program bill of materials) Material DDD (De-standardization of Standard materials and components) The intern will also focus on the following: Review existing standards and documentation Update documentation Audit P1 Program BOMs Audit of all phases of the P1 Programs (Phase 0 through 4b) Audit of Standard Components Work with other departments to define standards Attend Design Reviews Work with standards owners in-house and at Valeo Requirements: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited institution pursuing a Bachelor's level degree in an engineering discipline.
