State and Local Tax Manager Job in Minneapolis 55402, Minnesota US

LarsonAllen is a top-20, multispecialty public accounting firm. We are nationally recognized as a powerhouse in the industries we serve, and for our expertise in serving privately held companies and their owners. We are more than a typical accounting firm; we are a resource for information and knowledge related to the business and financial challenges facing businesses and owners.

Since the Firm’s first day of operations in 1953, we’ve been dedicated to providing quality results to clients through our most valuable resource—knowledgeable professionals with a passion for helping clients succeed.  We continue to grow every year, and have offices in more than 40 locations—from Boston to Orlando to Seattle to Phoenix and most places in between. Won’t you consider joining our 1,800 professionals in delivering a Noticeably Different client experience?

We are looking for a Manager who’s looking for a growth opportunity, to help build our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice in Minneapolis.

The successful candidate must have a broad range of experience in providing SALT services to small to middle market, closely held companies. We’re looking for someone capable of contributing to practice development activities and leverage their skills through the development of staff. This individual will deliver a full range of SALT services, including compliance, research, consulting and structuring, creation of technical memorandums and client correspondence. Additional responsibilities include conducting multi-state reviews that analyze sales and use, and other transaction taxes to identify optimal filing options, credits and incentives, exemptions, and corporate structures that can reduce our clients’ tax burdens.

Requirements include a four-year degree in accounting, more than five years experience in public accounting, and a CPA certification. A Law Degree or a Masters Degree in Taxation is a plus.

LarsonAllen is committed to being nationally recognized as a great place to work and build a career.  Our compensation and benefit packages—in addition to professional learning and development programs—are aligned with this commitment.  An important aspect of our culture is to take our work seriously, not ourselves; we work hard to ensure all our employees have exceptional careers, challenging work, continuous learning, and the flexibility to successfully navigate the intersection of work and life.
