ANZ's Corporate Banking (CB) Australia team has a long history supporting corporate businesses, offering traditional relationship banking and sophisticated financial solutions. CB has a diversified portfolio across cities and the wider Australian region and focuses largely on privately owned companies in the mid-market business segment.

This role represents a key opportunity to lead the Victorian/Tasmanian region. With dual reporting lines to the Corporate Banking Segment Head and GM VIC/TAS, the State Head is responsible for driving the strategy, management, growth and profitability of the CB business segment. This will be achieved by driving the strategic agenda, delivering the financial performance and customer growth plans. The role will also lead and drive outperformance through a disciplined focus on continuous business improvements. Furthermore, the State Head will ensure active account planning of ANZ's existing portfolio to maximise revenue as well as identifying new business opportunities through collaboration with Commercial, Wealth, Institutional and Regional partners. Key to this role will be the continued development of a large team to ensure performance engagement and performance excellence.

To be successful, you will have had previous exposure to an origination role within a Corporate/Institutional banking segment along with experience managing a large team. A strategic thinker with an ability to manage change, you will also have a strong understanding of P/L. Appropriate tertiary qualifications, the capability to drive best practice, lead from the front and influence stakeholders at all levels will also ensure success.
