We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the role of State Manager, Commercial Banking to plan, direct, grow and lead the Commercial Banking (CMB) business in New South Wales.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Developing, agreeing and implementing the strategic and annual operating plans for the business and ensuring that all targets set in these plans are met;
- Driving growth of the CMB NSW business in line with business strategy in all segments.
- To execute initiatives in Trade, Payments Cash Management, Marketing and CMB product development;
- Contributing to the management of all business lines in terms of strategy, risk and opportunity;
- To control and monitor CMB NSW business performance, ensuring all employees are effectively trained and their development is maximised;
- The management and development of functional strategic relationships, including Trade, Payments Cash Management and Treasury.
- Adherence to HSBC's compliance directives.
Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A recognised tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline;
- Extensive commercial Banking experience, with a strong history of consistently meeting business growth objectives;
- Proven experience leading and managing business units with front line PL and strategy development responsibility;
- Demonstrated experience leading large and complex teams/departments;
- Outstanding communication, relationship building and negotiation skills.
- The ability to build effective relationships at all levels and work collaboratively across businesses and locations.
