State Manager – SA recruitment

There is currently an opportunity for an experienced sales person to join the business in a Sate Manager, South Australia role. This position reports in to the GM, Sales and will be responsible for leading a team of BDM's and exceeding sales targets to increase market share in the South Australian region across all product lines. The State Manager will coach and mentor the state based sales team to maximise opportunities, manage the expense budget and have overall management and responsibility for the State on an operational day to day basis. This role is within a competitive market and will require strategic thinking and sales strategy that utilises new technology and fosters long term relationships.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Providing leadership and direction for all SA State based staff
- Working closely with the Business Development Managers regarding coaching, skilling and developing a sales culture within the State
- Developing mutually beneficial working relationships with Advice Solutions State Manager and other key stakeholders within the business
- Developing relationships with 'national licensee' State managers, to create sales opportunities for Business Development Managers (BDMs)
- Develop, execute, monitor and refine sales strategies and business plans to provide a framework for team success
- Monitoring the achievement of State sales targets and taking corrective action where required
- Responsible for the recruitment, selection, training, coaching and mentoring of staff
- Actively demonstrate the enterprise values of the group
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales through wealth management and have worked at a senior level with management responsibilities. You will be capable of dealing with advisors at all levels, understanding their business needs and translating these in to complete solutions. A thorough understanding of the financial planning industry including future trends and practices will be essential.
