Position Title:  Manager – Aircraft Appearance, MCO

Reports To:  Regional Manager – Aircraft Appearance

Direct Reports:  10 to 12 Employees

Operation Size:  7 to 8 Aircraft, 3rd Shift, Overnight (RON) Cleaning

Position Purpose:

 

Lead and direct all day-to-day operational activities at the Orlando International Airport.Responsibilities include but are not limited to aircraft appearance in a fast-paced airport environment.  Safety, security and compliance are the cornerstones of this operation and are critical requirements to achieving operational excellence.

The General Manager will be required to deliver against operational and financial performance goals and execute in accordance with strict airline, government and airport regulations. This position is expected to identify opportunities for expansion at the location and develop our people for personal and professional growth.

The General Manager is also a working member of the aircraft cleaning crew.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·         Day-to-day management and oversight of operations, people and operating budget

·         Directs staff and execute plans to deliver a safe and reliable operation

·        Interacts with airport authorities, government agencies, airline customers and external organizations

·         Delivers against operational and financial goals and objectives

·         Plans and executes resource allocation for staffing and ground equipment.

·         Drives performance and productivity

·         Accountable for reliability, customer service delivery, fostering positive employee relations, cost management, and regulatory compliance

·         Support HR policy, benefit and compensation programs

 

Qualifications:

 

·         Strong working knowledge of airline operations

·         Proven business acumen, technical learning/innovation management and a drive for results

·         Ability to understand financial implications (cost benefit) in operational decisions

·         Self-motivated with ability to multi-task

·         Creative and innovative to improve delivery of service excellence

·         Superior problem-solving, conflict management and decision making skills

·        Demonstrated communication, leadership and analytical skills; ability to develop effective relationships at all levels.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office software

·         5-7 years of airline/aviation experience required; Bachelor degree in aviation management or related field preferred.
