Statistical Financial Analyst Job in Salt Lake City 84133, Utah US
Zions Bancorporation has an excellent opportunity available for a Financial Analyst in our Corporate Finance department.
This position creates and analyzes financial statements and other financial documents to assist management in the decision making process. Typically completes loan loss model development (tied to macro-economic variables for CCAR Stress Testing) cost analysis, profitability, pricing, valuation, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, trending, reconciliation and/or other related analysis tools and procedures. Prepares short and long term financial forecasts, plans, reports of key performance indicators, risk early warning indicators, ad hoc analysis reports, economic valuations and cost/benefit information. Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Masters degree--MBA, or equivalent graduate degree in computational finance or other quantitative field
- CFA charterholder, or level II candidate
- Previous experience in banking or a financial institution, preferably in an analytical role
- Experience with investments securities or risk analytics
- Bachelors degree in finance or other quantitative field and 4+ years experience in financial analysis or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
- Requires extensive knowledge of financial analysis practices, principles, applications and analysis methods.
- Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to develop financial models.
- Requires solid written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare oral and written reports.
- Must be able to work in a deadline oriented environment.
- Must have the ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Requires the ability to identify, research, coordinate and resolve issues.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
- Requires excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, VBA or SQL. Knowledge of financial/statistical programs a plus.
