Position Description:
Responsible for supporting Marketing objectives for acquisition, retention and profitability by identifying, designing and implementing advanced analytics projects. Leverages customer information to develop statistical models and performs segmentation analyses for various marketing channels to optimize campaign effectiveness and return on investment. Designs campaign tests, performs test analysis and provides recommendations based on test results. Familiar with best practices on statistical methods, technology and their application in database marketing, and stays informed on the latest developments, techniques, tools and processes.

Position Requirements:
- Propose and lead innovative mathematical approaches to solving complex business problems, utilizing available research.
- Mine prospect data attributes from internal and external sources to develop proprietary models to drive favorable marketing results.
- Perform analyses, statistical design, statistical coding and model validation in support of business requirements.
- Regularly query large datasets for statistical modeling and ad hoc marketing analytics purposes. Proactively research the information to meet the needs of the marketing team and other end users.
- Compile and deliver ad hoc marketing analytics projects to end users on a regular basis.

Position Attributes:
- Experience in data warehousing environment is required.
- Functional proficiency in SAS and SQL is required.
- Experience with statistical modeling is required. Knowledgeable in statistical terminology and methodologies.
- Direct Marketing and/or Insurance experience is a plus.
- Experience in statistical experiment design is a plus.
- Demonstrable experience in data manipulation, evaluation and presentation.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and follow through. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, take on responsibility and work well under deadlines.
- Able to work independently and able to research and overcome problems.
- Ability to follow direction and work towards goal.
