Sterile Processing Technicians decontaminate instruments in a safe and appropriate manner Assemble instrumentation accurately and efficiently. Assured sterility of all processed items. Manage instrument inventory and assures timely distribution of instruments to all customers. Tech should have had coursework in medical terminology, human anatomy, microbiology, infection control, decontamination, disinfection, instrument assembly and packaging, high-level sterilization, biological testing, and inventory management and distribution.
