Sterility Assurance Manager (m/w) Job in Marburg, Hessen Germany

This position is a senior role in the Microbiology department. Daily duties are flexible dependant on the needs of the laboratory or manufacturing units supported and will include at a minimum: leading cross functional investigation teams, Quality oversight for media fill, performing hazard analysis and risk assessments providing routine coaching and feedback for aseptic technique, processes and equipment design in the vaccine manufacturing areas. In addition this position will review trend reports for environmental monitoring and utility system monitoring and coordinate investigations into adverse environmental trends for their assigned area.

This position will interact heavily with customer groups of the department including Manufacturing, Technical Development and Quality Assurance and will be expected to provide technical risk assessments and recommend corrective actions for microbiological issues in the laboratory as well as the manufacturing environment.

Strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-microbiologists
Strong technical knowledge and experience in Microbiology (including industrial microbiology)
Ability to work in a very dynamic and fast paced environment
Strong root cause analysis skills and the ability to perform design of experiment
Experience supporting a GMP manufacturing facility preferably a sterile product
A minimum of Diplom, prefer PhD and 5-7 years applicable experience.
Fluent German required, English a plus
