Stock Controller – Perpetual Inventory Controller – Birmingham
My client is a successful, privately owned distribution company with a respected name. Their business model has come to represent the fast and efficient supply of advanced and reliable solutions both within and outside the UK for a range of products, including Cabling infrastructure, Electronics security, Computer components and Storage cabinets to name but a few.
My client is looking for an experienced PI controller to come in to hit the ground running, dealing with aspects of goods in, goods out and dispatching items.
Your duties and responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:
· Follow all written and verbal work instructions accurately and deliver on time,
· Promptly and correctly report any discrepancies or issues,
· Respond positively to changes in processes when they occur,
· Apply and achieve high quality standards in all aspects of the job,
· Carry out stock investigations as required in line with best practice,
· Carry out system work (adjustments, confirmations etc) accurately and on time,
· Receive goods according to schedule and check for quality and correct quantity,
· Complete all paperwork or system work in line with best practice,
· Adhere to safety regulations and standards at all times,
· Keep the work area and general environment clean and tidy to the highest standards,
· Report any accidents and near misses fully and immediately to the line manager,
· Carry out safety checks on all machinery before use,
· Seek training to develop capability when unsure or not confident about how to carry out a task,
· Conduct all dealings with customers or suppliers in a professional manner,
· Treat work colleagues and visitors to the warehouse with courtesy and respect,
· Adhere to high standards of packaging and presentation of goods for all customer orders,
· Deal with all customer queries efficiently and accurately.
The ideal candidate will be educated to GCSE standards and have a good knowledge of computer platforms such as Microsoft.
A valid Bendi Licence is also preferred.
Individual qualities such as being reliable, a team player, adaptable, the ability to follow Rule, and being quality conscious are all essential qualities.
The hours for this position will be Monday – Friday 9.30pm – 6.00am – Night Shift.
The rate of pay will be £8.00 an hour.
The job will be offered on a temporary / on-going basis but may lead to a permanent position.
