Stock Handler Material Mover A 0Z5 Job

The Stock Handler Material Mover handles material / parts for production orders, per customer requirements. Essential Responsibilities - Pulls part orders per customer requirements - Helps maintain accurate inventory through proper inventory control - Maintains cycle count as requested - Locates material and expedites part shortages within the plant - Verifies and maintains stock documentation and shortage reports - Identifies and helps implement opportunities for improvement in the manufacturing processes - Ensures all products assembled meet the quality standards in accordance with procedures, engineering specifications, drawings and work instructions. - Counts, weighs and records number of units of material moved or handled on daily production - Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or containers - Lifts heavy objects by forklift, crane, hoist or by hand within applicable weight limitations - Performs any other job duties as assigned by supervisor or manager Qualifications/Requirements: - High school diploma or GED - 2+ years experience in a shipping / warehouse environment - 2+ years experience in a material control environment ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: - Ability to lift up to 50lbs - Ability to help implement Process Excellence, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing - Must be able to speak and read English - Ability to read basic blue prints, work and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions - Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
