RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for the technical support of all McCormick Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructure to include:

·         managing the implementation and ongoing administration of multiple Enterprise class storage platforms (EMC DMX ) in support of business mission critical applications,

·         facilitating proactive improvements and maintenance to SAN environments,

·         conducting storage audits,

·         improving processes and procedures,

·         resolving day-to-day SAN related issues, 

·         mentoring support teams and other SAN administrators,

·         maintaining focus on emerging storage technologies and setting direction for current and future storage environments.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline. May consider 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree  required.

·         Minimum 4 years of advanced hands-on experience with EMC enterprise storage  architecture required

·         Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Netapp preferred

·         Advanced working knowledge of SAN protocols: Fiber Channel, NFS. ISCSI etc. required

·         Experience with SAN tuning in support of SAP environment required

·         Solid OS level knowledge and experience required

·         Proven understanding of SAN connectivity Windows 2008, Linux and AIX environments required

·         Experience with monitoring, auditing, trending and capacity planning of enterprise class storage area networks required

·         Proven ability to architect storage solutions in support of key business initiatives required

·         Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects required

·         Strong customer focus required

·         Demonstrated process, procedural and documentation development and implementation experience preferred

·         Demonstrated strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills required

·         Ability to build relationships, interface effectively with all levels of the organization, and think strategically required

·         Strong organizational and prioritization skills required.

·         Project Management experience - preferred

·         Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required

·         Ability to travel on occasion (domestically and internationally) is required.
