Storeroom Associate, Quanah, Texas
Responsibilities:
- Assists with managing the storeroom inventory.
- Controls system parts receiving, parts issuances and reorders to minimize overstocks, stock-outs and returns.
- Maintains inventory data and prepares associated reports; conduct blind cycle count processes and procedures, drives decision making to optimize inventory through min/max reviews and implementation of vendor ownership opportunities including but not limited to consigned, committed and point of use.
- Identifies unnecessary inventory through reporting and obsolete reviews to take appropriate action to drive the best value for the plant.
- Serves as a liaison to maintenance and operations.
- Complies with all safety, purchasing, finance and environmental policies and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Willing and able to work weekends as necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent or higher required.
- 1 year of inventory management and/or maintenance experience
- Experience with Microsoft Excel to include the use of basic formulas and ability to sort data
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree or higher
- Knowledge of maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) parts
- Experience with inventory management software
- At least 3 years of inventory management and/or maintenance experienced
- At least 3 years manufacturing experience
