ICF is currently seeking a Storm Water Compliance Specialist for our office in Redding, CA.
Job Description:
The Storm Water Compliance Specialist will conduct inspections of construction sites and report results to evaluate compliance with the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) storm water General Permit for Construction and Land Disturbance Activities. The specialist may also prepare and amend storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPP) and may on occasion conduct biological resource monitoring of construction sites.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, or related field
- Certification by the SWRCB as a Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD) or a Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP)
- Minimum two years of experience conducting inspections of storm water best management practices at construction sites
- Experience with working with construction contractors and regulatory personnel
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience in preparing risk level determinations and SWPPPs in accordance with General Permit requirements
- Minimum one year of experience monitoring of construction sites for biological resources
- Knowledge of federal and state endangered species acts
- Knowledge of other relevant environmental regulations, such as California Fish and Game Code streambed alteration agreements, Regional Water Quality Control Board Section 401 water quality certifications, Section 404 wetland permitting, CEQA, and NEPA
