The company is now looking to expand and grow its operations across the Australian and New Zealand market place. Due to this expansion there has now become a vacancy for a Strategic Account Director to manage the Telstra relationship.

Job Description

Reporting to the VP of sales you will be responsible for leading the relationship with Australia's largest content broadband and telecommunications provider, Telstra. You will network effectively throughout Telstra across all product and functional business units to continue the growth opportunities for our client. You will focus on building long term commercial partnerships with all stakeholders to identify a clear road map and develop customer engagement strategies. Other key responsibilities will include;

  • Retain and grow an established account to achieve defined targets year on year
  • Close large deals and develop strategies to attain further business growth
  • Ensure high levels of service are shown to customers throughout the sales process
  • Negotiate complex deals to secure desired outcomes
  • Travel between Sydney and Melbourne likely

The Successful Applicant

You will have proven experience as a senior account manager/director who has worked directly with or sold into Telstra. You will have demonstrated the ability to sell technology and communications products with exposure to set-top boxes, gateways and user interface software (but not essential). You will have a high level of maturity and be able to build instant credibility with senior level stakeholders. You will possess the drive and enthusiasm to deliver results quickly. As well as the above you will have;

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills especially when delivering presentations
  • Excellent people and relationship development skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and remotely
  • Experience in developing/building business relationships and the ability to recognise business opportunities
