Role Description Strategic Account Managers represent the Partners for Success program in the PAH's Companion Animal Division. Their responsibility is primarily to create Pfizer product growth and, secondarily provide comprehensive value-added consultation to their high potential strategic accounts by identifying clinic needs, and delivering solutions to make these practices more efficient and better managed. Strategic Account Managers in their role: " Assume leadership role in these clinics with overall accountability for demand creation for Pfizer products and coordination of all efforts with the Key Account Team (KAT). " Align their work clearly with Pfizer organizational goals and objectives to ensure their sales performance targets are exceeded, and organizational strategies are executed according to plan. " Identify major trends in the marketplace that affect these accounts, create business plans and sales strategies based on uncovered opportunities identified for these clinics, and for Pfizer. " Strengthen the team's ability to provide value to key accounts by providing solutions to a broad array of animal health and veterinary practice issues. " Consistently model Pfizer's Values and Leader Behaviors. Responsibilities Demonstrates effective selling practices. Maintains a customer-focused organization in partnership with the KAT Demonstrates market understanding, product and technical knowledge. Organizes strategic account responsibilities, activities and information to create an action plan to achieve objectives. Contributes to team selling efforts by coordinating efforts on key accounts. Utilizes available resources to increase effectiveness and productivity. Makes decisions based on logical analysis, reasonable assumptions, past experience and good judgment. Builds and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders. Demonstrates strong personal communication skills. Communicates effectively within PAH US Ops to ensure alignment and help drive the business. Qualifications These qualifications, experiences, and skills are highly desirable; however, they do not preclude exceptions based on an individual's performance history and demonstrated potential. " Bachelors degree preferred (Business or related discipline) " A minimum of 1 year of work experience in the Animal Health industry preferred " 5 years of relevant account management/sales experience required " Proven record of accomplishment, demonstrating successful sales experience " Proven ability to coordinate activities and manage sales with large strategic accounts " Strong oral, written, interpersonal communication and analytical skills " Extensive knowledge of Pfizer Animal Health products and the animal health industry " Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and attention to detail. Ability to exercise good judgment; make thoughtful and fair decisions based on relevant information " Ability to interact with and influence veterinarians, consultants, vet office staff, etc. " Demonstrated ability to lead without direct authority of team members (leading non-direct reports) " Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an interdependent sales team " Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Pfizer's proprietary systems or ability to learn quickly.
