Position Overview:
We are looking for a self-motivated Strategic Account Manager to support the sales initiative in the Canadian Market. You are interested in long-term career growth and have the strategic ability to plan for your professional future.? A Strategic Account Managers role entails selling or introducing new corporate products or services to established clients. You will be expected to build quotations on standard products, write orders and communicate pertinent information on them to customers. While you provide excellent service and probe for new opportunities within our established (over 20 years) client base, you will also be part of strategic outbound sales campaigns.
The position includes a solid base salary plus bonus. Target income is 65K (includes base income + quarterly bonus) plus free parking and participation in the companies benefit plan.? This is a position that is 65% farming and 35% hunting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing customer accounts - Ensure the customer understands our value proposition.
- Provide In-servicing to existing clients via live meetings / web
- Working with management to determine execute essential strategic approaches for sales
- Transitioning our clients to latest products and services
- Prepare sales proposals and conduct sales presentations for prospects
- Identify quality prospects and create opportunities through sales pipeline management
- Provide customers with quotes and price packages
- Conduct sales calls from leads, existing clients and CRM
- Field inbound sales calls and make outbound calls
- Providing basic technical support on products via phone / web conferencing
- Building strong relationships for repeat sales opportunities
- Cross-selling and up-selling both prospects and existing customers
- Complete the necessary process for the efficient processing / fulfillment of customer orders.
- Moving opportunities through the sales process from qualified lead to close
- Attending sales conferences as planned and required some travel may be necessary.
The successful candidate will poses the following qualifications:
- Min.? 2-3 years of related B2B sales experience, preferably consultative selling
- Inside Sales experience is an asset ( Education / publishing sales an asset)
- Possess a Bachelors Degree or relevant College / work experience
- Must be comfortable with longer selling cycles ( 12 months)
- Solid understanding CRM, Web conferencing technology
- Experience and comfort with face-to-face presentations
- Well organized with good administrative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Results driven with sales pipe-line management skills / Firm understanding of the sales process
- Experienced with MS suite of products Word / Excel / Powerpoint
- Valid drivers license
- Outstanding customer focus - Ability to build rapport and be influential over the phone
- Previous experience answering both telephone and email sales inquiries
- Ability to sense and relate observations to business opportunity.
