Strategic Account Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is a regional sales management position focusing on the strategic opportunities to form regional alliances with companies for sales opportunities, aligned with our regional objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
? Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, vendors, co-workers and management.
? Develop proposals, presentations and pricing agreements for strategic accounts
? Stay abreast of current market trends. Assistance will be provided via specific training programs relating to supply chain management trends.
? Analyze existing regional company customer database; identify potential within that database and develop strategies for acquiring/enhancing this business.
? Responsible for monitoring and reporting existing strategic account activity within the regional company.
? Working with the Nor Pac sales force, identify One Airgas" sales opportunities within the regional database. Develop and prioritize targets based on our ability to solidify and enhance our existing position with these targets.
? Monitor and report on strategic relationships while not servicing the account on a daily basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
? BS degree from four year college or university, preferably in Sales, Marketing, Business Management with emphasis in sales or marketing or the equivalency of five to ten years of related experience in the industry and academic studies in a related field.
? Executive/conceptual selling ability; able to view situations from 10,000 feet" as well as ground level.
? Solid time management and organizational skills
? Broad product knowledge of Airgas product mix
? Solid communication and presentation skills
? Ability to understand strategic price points/technical bids
? Team player
? Ability to set goals and motivate self and others to achieve these goals
? Comprehensive understanding of the One Airgas" sales concept
? Ability to identify opportunities and deploy the assets in the form or specialists and applications to realize this potential.
