Job summary
SWIFT's partner program provides a global framework for leading financial business application- and services providers. These partners offer their innovative solutions to 9,000 plus banking organizations, securities institutions and corporate customers that trust SWIFT every day to exchange millions of standardized financial messages in over 200 countries.

We're seeking a senior leader of a dynamic and ambitious team that sets up and manages strategic relationships and alliances with third-party companies, spread around financial centers across the globe (Americas, Europe and Asia) while aligned with SWIFT's markets and regional teams.
We look for the successful candidate to drive and expand our ability of identifying, researching, analyzing and bringing to market new business opportunities and new products, as a complement of SWIFT's existing product and services portfolio.
You'll make use of your creativity and expertise to face challenges such as deploying new business models and defining a complete, packaged offering in a highly competitive and fast moving technology space.
Your responsibilities will be to
Identify market opportunities and achieve business growth through relationships with strategic partners.
Ensure market research and analysis is conducted, strategic opportunities with relevant partners are detected and mid-to-long-term marketing plans are designed for that market and partners.
Ensure the offering developed in partnership is complete, has the buy-in from all stakeholders and is managed through its life cycle, by reviewing yearly sales targets, managing PLs and taking appropriate actions to improve profitability.
Develop, document and refine best-in-class commercial partnership models that can be re-used throughout SWIFT.
Initiate and manage contacts with internal and external stakeholders mainly at senior level (eg : with sales for recommending annual objectives, with legal, with customers, vendors, regulatory bodies, industry groups to understand their needs goals and to address specific issues).
Keep abreast with trends in the industry and share information with other divisions/departments.
Set direction for business development initiatives with relevant partners in the Americas region.
Provide input to the direction of the division by defining short and long term goals for the department
Education
Bachelors /Master’s degree
Experience
10 plus years experience in strategic business development, partnership negotiation and management in the financial industry
Prior experience in establishing commercial partnerships and/or joint ventures
In-depth knowledge of evolutions and trends in financial industry, and role of SWIFT in different market segments
Professional knowledge and expertise
Strategic business development in SWIFT and/or other companies active in the financial industry
Diplomatic relationship management and negotiation skills
Commercial discussion skills at very senior level
Business proposal writing and presenting
Excellent communication and presentations skills
Lots of energy and drive; lead by example
Willingness to travel (approx 20% to 30%)
Fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading), additional languages a plus
Additional strong consideration for
Prior managerial/supervisor experience leading a team
Coaching and mentoring skills at senior level
