Strategic Data Quality Manager
The Specialist will manage projects on a firm wide and department specific basis, audits, and the Data Quality team’s interaction with IT as well as other business units.
Essential Job Functions:
- Work in tandem with the team manager and IT to implement strategic goals and improve/refine the Data Quality process.
- Develop, implement, and review data quality measurement processes, controls, and workflow.
- Monitor policies and procedures.
- Expand automation and exception reporting.
- Manage and execute assigned projects as required by the firm, department, and industry.
- Investigate and prepare Data Quality for changing business priorities, system enhancements and new product/asset type initiatives.
- Lead representative to interact with IT and Data Architecture resources.
- Oversee and maintain the Benchmark data process with our internal data warehouse, IT, and third party vendors.
- Working knowledge of key buy-side investment management processes such as portfolio management, trading, portfolio compliance, pricing, analytics, client service, and operations.
- Coordinate and review Data Quality’s audit participation and requests, including SSAE16, internal, or other regulatory audits.
- Participate in the day to day processes of the Data Quality team, such as security master maintenance and pricing.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with IT, Operations, Investment Teams, and other departments as needed.
Job Specifications:
- Strong organizational skills including project and resource management.
- Working knowledge of Bloomberg API, securities mechanics, securities attributes, pricing and corporate actions.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong knowledge of Global Fixed Income securities and portfolio analytics
- Good knowledge of Global Equities, Derivatives, and Alternative asset classes.
- Knowledge of SQL programming preferred
- Ability to work unsupervised and maintain a high level of productivity
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to work non-standard business hours and support the global pricing model
- Attention to detail
Other Duties:
- Assist Performance department with project management and workflow
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- 5 - 10 years experience working with fixed income, equity and derivatives markets and financial data
- Strong knowledge of investment products and services and information systems.
- Experience in Operations, Trading or Accounting Systems preferred.
- Working knowledge of Eagle Pace data repository a plus.
