Strategic Development Manager

This is a rare and exciting strategic development role with a fast growth business.
My client, a leading professional services business is looking to recruit a Strategic Development Manager to work closely with the CEO of an exciting and entrepreneurial new business that they have set up.

The focus of this role will be to work on a range of initiatives designed to accelerate the growth of the business in the UK and internationally. This will include entry into new markets, expanding the range of services and utilising the potential of the existing broad client base. As the Strategic Development Manager in a small but fast-growth business you will be involved in the full life cycle of projects from building market information and financial analysis to support business cases through to implementing planned initiatives.

In my opinion this would suit a candidate with strong strategic development and planning experience gained in a management consulting firm. You may hold a professional finance qualification (ACA, CIMA) But you will need to show your ability to develop key relationships, evaluate and develop business plans and influence decisions. Ideally you will have a strong understanding of professional services or people-based organisations and have a track record of working with international businesses.

Given the fairly unstructured environment of the business at present, you will need to be a self-starter who is used to combining their technical and commercial experience with their initiative.
