Full Job Description
Analytics and Business Insights (40%)
- Ensure that high quality business analytics capability is developed and deployed on both regular basis (e.g. based around forecast cycle or business reviews) and in a reactionary capacity (e.g. for a Finance ManCo)
- Use internal and external relationships to maintain a detailed understanding of the marketplace, customer base, emerging trends and competitor practices
- Develop insightful market intelligence reports including external and internal benchmarking (on all key metrics), market share analytics, competitive landscape, market sizing
- Scenario modelling and analytics of the financial performance and forecast of the business area.
Operations expertise (30%)
- Accountable for developing in depth expertise and analytics within OperatingFinance regarding the end to end operations activity of Retail Banking
- Key responsibilities on this regard include: development of operations baseline, operations benchmarking, insights generation, KPI dashboard creation, identification of key project to deliver new cost savings opportunities, tracking and monitoring.
Business Performance Management (20%)
- Deliver insightful business analysis to Head of BPA andOperating CFO to drive informed and effective decision making

Skills and Experience
- Commercially minded with proven Business Performance Analytics skills to match an equivalent stakeholder community. Proven experience in a multinational global banking organisation
- Qualified accountant and degree educated essential
- Proven ability to shape and deliver strategies using knowledge of current technical trends and competitor behaviour
- Understands industry trends and up to speed with financial and economic developments and how these can affect the banking industry Expertise in all areas of Excel and experience writing and delivering Powerpoint presentations to senior stakeholders
- Expertise in scenario building and sensitivity analysis within the banking sector. Be the `go to` colleague for this within Retail Bank Operations Finance
- Detailed knowledge of Finance withinbanking and how it operates is desirable
- Detailed knowledge of Financial statement modelling, PL, bank valuation and B-S analysis
- Expertise in end-to-end project management and delivery.
Personal and Management Skills
- Proven experience and capability in addressing underperformance issues and can apply management principles to increase team effectiveness (getting the very best out of a team).
