Strategic Market Intelligence (SMI) Program Leader Job in New York, New York Us
Operationally manage senior researchers and analysts within matrix reporting structures, including the various Executive and Markets Programs SMI team leaders focused on Competitive Intelligence Market Performance; Quantitative Analysis; Growth Platforms Strategic Programs Support; Strategic Growth Markets; Standard Sector Accounts and Area Coordination
Lead multiple, highly-complex strategic projects that cross borders, communities, industries and service lines
Supervise, coach and mentor highly-autonomous analysts and researchers, inspiring them to achieve stretch targets and cultivate a high-performing and cohesive teaming environment
Implement the organization's people-related practices and policies; work with other SMI and Ernst Young Knowledge leaders to establish and implement guidelines, policies and procedures that impact all analysts and researchers
Direct program planning and authorize budget, headcount and other resources
- advanced degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience
- 12 years' professional experience, with five years' management experience
- deep experience as a strategic analyst or business researcher
- experience of managing a virtual team across multiple global locations and cultural/language divides
- experience and understanding of knowledge management principles
- professional services industry experience preferred
- superior understanding of analytical and research approaches, methodologies and principles, and of how to apply these within a professional services environment, to deliver commercial insights and value
- demonstrated ability to work with a high level of autonomy
- confidence and executive presence to work at a senior level in a fast-moving, client-driven environment
- ability to manage multiple, highly-complex programs and resources concurrently
- strong people management skills across functional and geographic boundaries
- english language skills - excellent written and verbal communication
