Strategic Partner Manager, Content Partnerships - Mountain View
This position is based in Mountain View, CA. The area: Partnerships There's always more information out there, and our Partnerships team works to get it. We develop relationships with a range of organizations, from content providers to publishers, and find ways for them to reach their audiences and manage their digital businesses. We find great content for our products, and we also work with partner sites to syndicate our own Google products. From negotiating agreements to solving technical problems for partners, we're in pursuit of gathering the world's information. The role: Strategic Partner Manager, Content Partnerships The Strategic Partner Manager's (SPM) primary role is to manage Google's critical commercial relationships with third parties, from individual partners (e.g. licensed data providers) to entire industries. In this role you will work directly with partners and internally with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders. You will apply your partnerships / business development skills, project management aptitude, industry knowledge and product understanding to contribute to the launch and success of Google products and services worldwide. Responsibilities: Build, maintain and evolve strong relationships with third parties, working directly with some partners and through "one-to-many" models to reach large partner ecosystems. Design and implement processes and policies to improve Google's ability to partner at scale. Ensure partners are fulfilling their contractual obligations and that Google is providing the required support for them to do so. Define and drive implementation of performance improvement initiatives for specific partners based on detailed understanding of partner practices and Google tools and processes. Represent Google at partner and industry events. Provide feedback from partners, and market intelligence, to Google's product teams. Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS degree (or, in lieu of degree: 4 years of relevant work experience) 6 years relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications: MBA. Relevant work experience at a start-up or an established company in any of the following roles: business development, relationship management, product management, corporate strategy, consulting or investment banking. Demonstrated experience in managing a portfolio of partners to achieve product objectives, operational efficiency and partner satisfaction targets. Demonstrated ability to influence all levels of management cross-functionally and externally. Tenacity and sense of urgency; the ability make things happen quickly. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid and collaborative environment.
