Strategic Planning and Analysis Manager recruitment
The Group Strategic Financial Planning Manager will assist the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis in providing key analysis to support the Board and Executive Committee in the decision making processes of the Company, and supporting the requirements from external stakeholders including regulators and ratings agencies.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the Group’s Medium Term Financial Plan, taking responsibility for the creation and maintenance of the underlying models that comprise the Plan.
- Work with the Director, Financial Planning Analysis, to formulate underlying assumptions, gather data, and develop and maintain models.
- Support the annual budgeting process by working with other lead stakeholders within and outside Finance to ensure an integrated budgeted and planning process is in place across the Group.
- Work with business unit controllers to advise on the impact of changes to business plans including tariffs, volumes, costs and investments.
- Prepare and provide financial information for competition authorities, regulators, advisors etc as required. Prepare and interactive annual plan for regulators and prepare regulatory capital forecasts.
- Create and evaluate models as required to produce ad-hoc reports and analysis.
- Assisting with Corporate Finance activity - including restructuring and MA activity, where appropriate.
- Provide competitor analysis and benchmarking.
Skills and experience
- Educated to degree level
- Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
- Previous Financial Services Experience
