Business Analyst/Project Manager – Global Bank Master

Project / Programme Management in SRP or any CS Change group

The SRP team are an independent department in its own right, delivering the SRP programme. Rolling up cost-wise into IB Other, the reporting line is to the project sponsors, Front Office and SRM.

The aim of the GBM Adoption project is that all users and systems use a single prime book hierarchy, where the golden source is GBM.

To make this possible a number of enhancements are planned for GBM, and to support the Book and Hierarchy change process. Some business requirements are already available, but the full list is yet to be finalized. The role is to act as front to back project manager for two builds

-       GBM enhancements

-       GDS Workflow tool for Book and Hierarchy changes

Your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

Essential:

•       Project Management experience – start to finish projects

•       Hands on approach – focused on Business Requirements, process design, ability to leverage IT Dept for the build

•       Good organization and planning skills – especially in cross-dept projects, for instance dealing with conflicting and competing user requirements.

•       Proven project lifecycle management (5 years) including change, issue resolution, status reporting, stakeholder management within Financial Services Industry

•       Track record of building team and managing under pressure

•       Good problem solving capability

•       Work to ensure strategic solution delivered

•       Experience of workflow systems

•       Able to use Microsoft suite of applications – project, Excel, power point

•       Work closely with Business and IT Business Analysts to ensure optimum solution delivered

•       Experience with leveraging IT solutions to deliver business needs

Preferred:

•       Knowledge of GBM

•       Graduate or higher degree

Your main responsibilities will involve:

The role is a standard system development project manager

•       Working with Front Office, PC, CRO to develop business requirements

•       Working with IT to develop and agree technical design

•       Managing the IT Build

•       User Testing

•        

There are two streams

GBM – which is expected to generate requirements for the GBM IT team to implement

Management Process – which is expected to involve construction of a workflow tool to handle book and hierarchy changes approval and communication
