Strategic Sales Manager, Nordics recruitment

On behalf of American Express, Michael Page is now looking to recruit a Strategic Sales Manager to be based in Stockholm.
This is an exciting and highly strategic sales role for a strong personality with an entrepreneurial approach. Key areas of your responsibility will include:
1. Manage and develop relationships with new and existing third party sale channels to grow merchant coverage and turnover across Sweden and the Nordics.
2. Sell in Amex merchant acceptance to a defined prospect list of strategic merchant accounts and negotiate profitable card acceptance agreements.

Job Description
- Sales negotiation of highly complex proposals and client manage large financial institutions
- Work across the Amex quot;matrixquot; organisation building strong internal relationships with functional groups like Finance, Marketing, Operations in order to build high impact complex and strategic sales proposals to your clients / prospects
- Rigorous Pipeline Management
- Drive thought leadership in developing and executing strategies across your sales channel
- Work with Marketing to develop targeted, high impact innovative marketing campaigns to drive card member spend
Requirements
- Academic background
- Exhaustive sales experience, a proven track record within strategic sales of long term complex quot;hold outsquot; ideally within a B2B sales environment
- Experience of developing strong relationships with other financial institutions
- Strong commercial acumen with a keen understanding of the Merchant Acquiring sector
- Excellent presentation, negotiation and relationship building skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Highly numerate, accomplished at working with Finance and Pricing teams
- Flexible, creative and innovative thinker
- Ability to prioritise, work well under pressure and able to project manage across multiple touch points
- Demonstrable ability to translate strategies into workable business models/goals to meet targets
- Excellent team player, able to identify and share best practices within the team
- Ability to travel across the Nordics
- Self motivated, self reliant, persistent and resilient with a demonstrable will to succeed
- Proficiency in Swedish and English
