The Correspondent Repurchase Department is responsible for reviewing and responding to Agency repurchase requests. As a Strategic Underwriting Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Preparation and participation for all agency impasse discussions
- Preparation and participation for all mortgage insurance impasse discussions
- Preparation and participation for all seller pipeline and impasse discussions
- File review for settlement negotiations or proposals
- Completion of ad hoc underwriting related initiatives and assignments
- Participation in overflow support for training assistance and production underwriting
- Completion of escalated file reviews related to 3rd appeals, Out Of Business sellers or MI Cancellation practices
- Underwriting assigned repurchase requests
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years Underwriting experience preferably in Correspondent lending
- Agency repurchase review experience preferred.
- College degree preferred
- Outstanding verbal communication skills
- Fluent in Microsoft Excel
- Previous negotiating experience
