Strategy Analyst – Econometric Modelling recruitment
The Company
I am recruiting for a major newspaper publishing house based in the City. Due to expansion within the team my client is now looking for a Strategy Analyst - Econometric Modelling to join the Strategy Planning Team.
The Role
Analyst support for the Strategy Planning Team - specific analyst role supporting business case development, strategic analysis, the Three Year Plan, competitor analysis and cross-Business projects, with a specific focus on econometric modelling.
The key responsibilities for this role:
Three Year Plan/Budget/Forecasts:
Assisting with input into the rolling Three Year Plan, including development of specific macro economic models to analyse company performance, including:
*Sales performance including price elasticity
*Advertising performance including market analysis/drivers and agency deals
*Press utilisation/capacity
*Efficiency of marketing spend
Development of macro-economic models to inform forecasting and planning processes
Assisting in financial input to Budget presentations and narratives
Product Development and Ad Hoc Project Work:
Providing ad hoc support for the Finance Director, Strategy Planning and Head of Finance, Strategy, including:
*Cross-PL projects
*Business Case development
*Product development
*Strategic analysis
Economic Analysis:
*Supporting the Finance Manager, Planning in providing regular economic updates
*Ongoing macro economic analysis covering GDP trends, employment, housing, disposable income
The most important attributes the client is looking for is:
*Expert Analysis
*Expert Modelling
*Understanding of Econometric modelling
*Economics degree from a top university
*Absolutely 1st class in person
*Doesn't't have to have an accounting qualification
Salary Benefits
£45,000-£55,000 plus bonus benefits
