Strategy and Internal M&A – Major financial institution recruitment
Our client is a well known financial institution with ambitious growth plans in the local and international domains. It enjoys a strong position in its specialist market and well known for its innovative and individual approach.
As a result of its growth plans the strategy and MA department is looking for a person with dynamic experience to join the team as they formulate and execute their expansion plans. As part of a small and experienced team you will be responsible for contributing your ideas and skills as part of the companys growth program.
Reporting to the head of Strategy your main responsibilities will be
• Research strategic initiatives and opportunities to assist in the review and development of the firms business strategy
• Conduct in depth research on industries, product / business opportunities, corporate targets, transactions etc (domestic and offshore)
• Prepare detailed financial models to evaluate proposals/transactions etc
• Assist with company valuations and economic analysis
• Assist on strategic analysis and evaluation, transaction execution and management of acquisitions/divestments
• Assist in preparation of presentations/pitches/decks etc on strategic opportunities/transactions etc
• Assist in preparation of Board Reports and Investment Committee Reports etc
You must be able to offer
• Research Skills ( internet, Bloomberg and other knowledge sources etc)
• Strong understanding of Financial Analysis
• Strategic analysis (ability to plan future scenarios/business plans from current data and forecast trends)
• Financial modelling with Excel
• Company valuation skills
Ideally you will have a minimum three years experience gained in a management consulting or Investment Banking environment with direct experience of Financial Institution type clients.
