With the Economic recovery in full swing, an outstanding opportunity has arisen with one of the most prestigious and highly regarded Commodities Management Consultancies in the world. My client is seeking an experienced Strategy Consultant to join their Metals and Mining team based in Houston, USA.
The Role
The Strategy Consultant will sit within the Global Metals and Mining consulting team and play a lead role in managing and delivering both strategic and commercial driven consulting projects to global metals and mining companies, financial institutions and world governments. These projects will include Mergers Acquisitions, Project Finance, Due Diligence, Business Improvements, Transaction Support and Market Intelligence. The role will require project management planning experience, client interactions and the ability to build external relationships with clientele, in addition to, possessing a strategic and commercial mindset to play a key role in the creativity, strategy and prioritisation of various projects that this team will work. The Strategy Consultant will have the ability to lead projects and teams and have a leadership mindset to take ownership of processes and build strong internal teams.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a strong degree in a numerate subject (Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Geology) to an advanced level (Masters or PhD are a preference). You must have significant experience within strategy consulting including exposure to operations and business models. Some relevent experience within Metals and Mining consulting or a commercial focused metals and mining role is a must. The role will involve quantitative analytical skills and thus strong Excel, VBA, MatLab experience would be ideal. A commercial and entrepreneurial mindset is ideal.
