As a Strategy Manager you will be supporting all aspects of the Bank’s Strategy and will particularly focus on strategic analysis of business plans, projects and opportunities and associated problem solving and presentation of analysis and solutions to senior management.
Key Deliverable:
- Performing a lead role on certain smaller, discrete projects and will support a Senior Manager on others
- Becoming involved in some aspects of more transactional work as team workflow demands
- Developing good internal relationships across the business
- Developing close working relationship with business, finance and strategy personnel
- Providing assistance in developing business plans, including in the structuring of plans and analysis and offering support and challenge to improve the quality of output
- Preparation of reports for Executive and Board audience
- Analysis of business performance, competitor activity, potential business opportunities and customer behaviours
- Analysis and critique of the financial justification for acquisitions disposals, organic business development or wind-down opportunities
Required Skills:
- Demonstrable strong analytical approach and ability to break down complex issues skills
- Aptitude for strategic thinking and clear articulation of concepts and solutions
- At least 5 years strategic/business development experience
- Strong academic record in numerate/quantitative discipline, ideally an MBA
- Strong interpersonal skills and influencing ability
- Understanding of strategy development frameworks and principles
- Financial modelling
- Report writing
