Strong JAVA Developer –> TRADER (TOP Hedge Fund)Hong Kong – Permanent
REED is urgently looking for a very strong Core JAVA Developer to join an excellent Hedge Fund well-established in Hong Kong and Asia. This position will progress into a full-fledged Execution Trader (12 months of programming, then become a Trader). - Permanent
Main responsibilities and daily tasks:
- Work on the trade floor with the traders, the portfolio managers, VIPs
- Daily coding on core Java technologies (J2SE)
- System analysis and daily programming tasks
- Learn the jargon, financial products and the ropes to become a trader
Main requirements:
- University degree in IT, Computer Sciences, Engineering or any related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of working experience (people with a lot more experience can also be considered as long as they match all of the requirements below)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills (easy going but also self-driven, can work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment)
- Excellent English level (at the business level) and well articulated
- Excellent programming skills in JAVA, J2SE, with a very good knowledge of computer sciences basis
- Willing and committed to learn and move to the business side!
