Position Description

Performs limited structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Participates in various test activities substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Works under close supervision.

Typical Education/Experience

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

The Mechanical Structural Engineering function in St Louis is looking for entry level engineers with an interest and aptitude in structural analysis. Successful candidates will have a solid academic background in strength of materials, statics, structural analysis, and finite element methods. This is a general requisition that supports multiple staffing requirements for weapons and aircraft programs at the site. Related internships and work experiences are also considered a plus. ABET accredited degrees in Mechanical, Aeronautical/Aerospace/Astronautical, or Civil engineering are preferred.
