Job Details:

 

Qualified candidates must be a registered Professional Engineer with 5 to 8 years of design experience. The candidate must be experienced and proficient in performing structural design and analysis to prepare structural construction documents and specifications.  Must be familiar with current IBC related codes (Canadian Standards a plus). 

 

Qualifications:

 

·         Structural analysis software packages such as: RISA, Excel and Math Cad

·         Finite element programs such as: STAADPRO, SAP, ADAPT.

·         Verbal and written skills a must. 

·         Experience in heavy industrial projects such power, cement, food process, specialty chemical, etc is a plus. Primary function will be design work for these types of projects. 

·         He/she should be familiar with the use of CAD systems such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, PDMS, Revit.

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         Finite element programs such as: STAADPRO, SAP, ADAPT. Prepare construction documentation such as drawings, specifications, etc. as related to the structural field.

·         Capable of functioning with very little supervision.

·         Lead or assist other lead engineers in the proposing and estimating phases of projects.

 

Client Requirements:

 

Masters degree in Civil Engineering (MS or ME) is preferred.  Knowledgeable with structural software packages, be computer savvy.  Dynamic analysis and vibrations design a plus.
