Structural Integrity Engineer Job in Derbyshire, Midlands Uk
A leading consultancy requires a Structural Integrity Engineer ideally with SC level clearance to work at a site in Derby.
You will need to have significant demonstrable background in two or more of the following technical disciplines: stress analysis by hand calculation, finite element analysis (preferably Abaqus or Ansys), fatigue and fracture assessment, ASME III Thermal analysis.
You will have a background in or more of the following industries: Aero Engines or Aero Structures, steam-raising power plant and components (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, pipework etc), Nuclear industry knowledge and safety case appreciation.
Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, Chartered Engineer or working towards chartered status.
You will identify and produce calculations, analyses, and designs to demonstrate acceptable performance or identify design issues.
Contribute to technical documents to present technical findings (e.g. design substantiation reports, safety justifications)
