Position Description
Assists with documentation of structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design. Assists with development, maintenance and modification of payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. Assists with tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Assists with management of supplier development, test and production activities to optimize the design and achieve program goals. Works under close supervision.

Typical Education/Experience
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Other Job related information
Desired to have experience designing in the CATIA v5 Enovia tool suite, with good understanding of Stress Analysis. Internship or college project experience with fixed wing aircraft for military and commercial applications desirable. Experience working within large and small complex teams in a dynamic environment and Integrated Product Teams, or college project. Preferred experience and/or internship with large BCA fixed wing aircraft such as; 787, 777, 767, 757, 747, 737, if possible. ** Please include GPA to be considered.
