Structured Credit Business Analyst recruitment

The role is situated in our Derivatives Middle Office (DMO) and based within a global team of onshore and offshore heads to perform a wide range of daily controls for the Structured Credit business including:
- Intersystem and interdesk reconciliations
- Option expiry review on complex deals
- Review of trade amends in various booking systems
- Production of daily MIS
- Monitoring of trade amendment rates/late bookings and root cause analysis
- T0 deal review
Other core duties will involve and not limited to the following:
- Performing against daily and weekly targets for clearance of control breaks
- Monitoring offshore performance against quality standards and numeric targets
- Building and leveraging relationships with the desk, Finance, Market Risk, Confirmations, Settlements, and other key stakeholders
- Standardizing and improving processes and in some cases assisting in the process of offshoring them
- Escalating breaks using a risk-based approach
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Middle Office analyst or similar function within Structured Credit, closely aligned to trading desks.
- Solid understanding of structured products and derivative transactions (not just theoretical) - CDO tranche, CLNs, SPE issuances, index options, recovery locks, and other bespoke transactions.
- Controls focused and experience of designing controls
- Confident in using relevant software packages, financial models, valuation tools and other data manipulation packages – confidence in MS Excel essential.
