Structured Credit Sales

Leading global investment bank looking to add a non-agency mortgage / CLO structured credit sales person to be based in their office in New York City. The ideal candidate will have 5 years + experience on a similar desk (selling non-agency mortgages / CLO products to US institutions). This role will have a broad mandate allowing flexibility with constructing products that the client base demands.

This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody who is looking to move to a leading bank where they could progress quickly, cover a range of accounts, and be compensated highly for securitized products sales.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for primary coverage of US based institutional / hedge fund clients. The focus of the role will be to contribute to and increase the number of active investors to whom the bank distributes non-agency mortgage / CLO structured credit products. In time, the chosen candidate will also contribute to the development and training of more junior sales people on the desk. This role will have a broad mandate allowing flexibility with constructing credit products that the institutional client base demands.

The role:
• Maintain and develop relationships with institutional / hedge fund clients based in the USA
• Develop the US client franchise by improving levels of business passing through desk and therefore profitability
• Market non-agency mortgage / CLO structured credit products
• Advise clients and provide them with trade ideas. 

Requirements:
• A minimum of 5 years industry experience – ideally 7+ years
• Must have market knowledge, interest, and experience in the non-agency mortgage / CLO structured credit banking industry
• A strong track record of selling to institutional clients, with a particular focus on non-agency mortgage / CLO structured credit 
• Understanding of concepts like securitization, sales etc
• Ability to work under pressure and within an international environment 
• Good understanding of US regulatory feedback
• A transferable institutional / hedge fund client list based in the USA
