Structured Credit Support Analyst recruitment
Encompassing a relatively large number of applications and overnight processing, Structured Products IT is a growing area within Fixed Income IT with a lot of focus on important deliverables in 2012. The successful candidate will have an active role in supporting the existing portfolio of applications and managing short term projects to improve the overall production service being provided to the business.
The role is for an application support analyst who will interact with various teams (in both IT and the business) to ensure prompt delivery and maximum availability of systems. Through a complex system of 2500 batch jobs running on a compute grid of 1,800 globally distributed infrastructure down to aiding fast, first stage excel based solutions , the environment has a myriad of facets that will test a candidates technical, business and organisational skills to the full.
Our clients include the trading desks themselves, business controllers, risk analysts and many other IT streams. Each with their own delivery requirements, priorities and reporting needs.
The ability to master new technology, and effectively adapt knowledge and skills is absolutely essential. The Structured Products businesses use a wide array of technologies; our systems and infrastructure are expected to evolve rapidly in response to changing market needs. Candidate must be highly detail oriented with good organizational and multi-tasking skills.
The responsibilities of the successful applicant are to include:
- Liaise with business on issues, outage reporting/management including SLA reporting improvements
- Liaise with the development teams for new releases
- Liaise with the global support team for handovers, knowledge transfer and ensuring a standard model of support is implemented.
- Flexibity in hours is required. Some weekend work and escalation as per normal investment banking practices.
- Build and maintain scripts and tools to manage the production environment and relative reporting.
- Liaise with 24x7 Service desk based in Singapore on batch related issues.
- Work on project items that affect the production environment (including BCM etc).
Requirements:
Our ideal candidate should have the following requisites:
- Minimum Degree level applicant
- English to high level of proficiency.
- A minimum of 4 years Production support experience in a related business area.
- Ability to work in a global team with both global and regional responsibilities.
- Experience in a number of Windows, Unix (Linux), Oracle and MS SQL Server
- Experience of Outsourcing in day to day activities.
