Structured Eq Derivatives Product Control VP/London/ £85k
My client is a leading investment bank with consistent growth in the Emerging Markets and Europe. The team is undergoing change to reflect the period of growth and is currently looking for a Product Control Manager within their Structured Equity Derivatives desk.
Responsibilities
- Managing a team of eight product controllers
- Supervision of Balance sheet substantiation and daily ledger reconciliations between the primary trading system and the GL.
- Primary point of contract for Front Office for the Structured Equity Product Control.
- Lead projects including improvements within the general infrastructure and processes as well as the new global general ledger going live mid 2012
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Experience of managing a mid-sized team within product control in another Investment Bank
- Structured or Exotic Equity Derivatives experience is essential
- Excellent Academic background with a minimum 2:1 degree in Mathematical based subject.
This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate to join an expanding desk which provides strong exposure to the front office. The role will suit a candidate looking for a mix of a management and projects role with an opportunity to move into a Director position within 18 months.
