Structured Equity Derivatives Confirmations Specialist recruitment

This role is in the Structured Confirmations team within OTC Derivatives Operations. The primary responsibility of the role will be the accurate and timely drafting of outgoing Structured ISDA confirmations, checking of trade bookings in the Risk Management system, query investigation and resolution and careful analysis of incoming confirmations for Structured/Exotic OTC Equity Derivative products.

The chosen candidate will work within a team of 5 people in the London Structured Equity Derivatives Confirmation group, and will be required to work closely with trading and sales groups as well as control groups and internal and external counsel. An understanding of structured equity products and transactions is a specific requisite, and knowledge of operations principles is required. In addition, the candidate must possess a keen eye for detail as they will be responsible for the checking and drafting of trade confirmations. The candidate needs to be dynamic and have strong analytical skills, as they will be expected to analyse complex structures. In addition, he/she needs to be process-minded, as they will be expected to design, analyze and improve processes during the day-to-day activities in order to mitigate risk and improve efficiency. Finally, the candidate needs to be focused on productivity expectations and attaining weekly/monthly internal and external Fed related targets.

Although based in London, the team supports the global Structured Equity Derivatives business and hence understanding of different cultures and working practices is essential.

Requirements:
• Graduate or graduate calibre
• Excellent knowledge of ISDA 2002 and 2006 Definitions (an understanding of the 2011 ISDA Equity Definitions would be beneficial)
• Excellent knowledge of various ISDA published Master Confirmations
• Working knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Excellent team player/motivator
• Knowledge of structured equity derivative products including:
- Exotic Options and Swap structures
- Baskets
- Variable Maturity Swaps
- Correlation Swaps
- Commodity Index
- Barriers
- MSCI Index
• Structured Equity drafting and/or matching experience
