Structured Finance Reporter

The Role:

Bloomberg News seeks an experienced structured retail product reporter in its London office. The reporter will be responsible for covering the market in credit-linked, equity-linked and commodity-linked notes and will need knowledge of OTC and exchange-traded products. The ideal candidate would have extensive experience of covering these markets for a real-time news organization or daily newspaper.

Candidates should have contacts among bankers, investors and regulators in this market and be driven by the desire to break news. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating ideas for, and writing, both spot stories and features.

Requirements:

- Knowledge of the structured finance market is essential.
- Relevant work experience or a bachelor's degree required.
- An ability to write quickly and concisely under deadline pressure.
- Previous experience of writing for a financial publication, preferably a newswire or paper, is desirable.
