The business is one of the most profitable within Global Rates and continues to expand its product coverage in order to maintain this position. This has created rapid growth and thus restructuring within the business.
The Trading team and FO as a whole work extremely closely with the Middle Office team and see them as being key to their current/future success and continuous innovation.
Along with managing the daily duties of the Product Control team within your team, you will be heavily involved in driving growth and change related to the ongoing restructuring within the business. Linked to this is the requirement for the candidate to lead Projects that your team will carry out, this requires the individual to have the ability to work on the multiple projects at the same time and multi task effectively. As you will also be seen as the major contact and point of escalation in resolving PL and Risk issues, the candidate should be comfortable with being in constant contact with Head Traders and Senior Business Managers.
The individual will perform across the business and will have wide exposure to different product areas and desks across the bank. In terms of progression this will give you the opportunity to move in to a more senior role outside of Product Control to not take up the potential option of moving in to a more Risk or FO based position (Business Management).
We require Product Controllers from an Exotics background, ideally Rates that have a solid supervisory/managerial track record. Your ability to be in a position to drive change and improve processes will also be critical in selecting the correct candidate.
