Structured Trade Finance
My client is an international investment bank based in the city and are looking to bring in an experienced Structured Trade finance candidate who is looking for a new challenge and opportunity. The role has come about due to rapid growth in the companies home territory and predict a growth within new product areas.
Role Fuction:
* The role is to assist to originate and execute structured trade finance transactions in various commodities and markets particularly emerging markets.
* To assist drive the department's strategy and business development efforts.
* Handle all aspects of structured trade finance including deal origination, structuring, credit evaluation, syndication, documentation and execution.
* Monitor overall portfolio performance including counterparty risk (payment, collateral, political, etc) position in conjunction with the relevant departments within the Bank.
* Develop superior and value-driven structures that meet complex financing requirements of clients.
* Establish close interaction with notable commodity trading houses especially the key international oil traders.
* Liaise with external lawyers and the relevant internal units to ensure a timely and seamless facility documentation process and deal closure.

Proactively manage existing customer relationships and originating new business opportunities from own contacts and network.
Skills Required:
* Strong financial analysis and structuring skills.
* Demonstrable deal origination and documentation experience.
* Detailed understanding of the credit process and ability to propose persuasive and credible credit arguments.
* Good knowledge and understanding of emerging markets.
* Innovative and creative problem solver.
* Willing to travel when needed (not very often)
* MBA is an advantage
* 5 years relevant experience or equivalent within a Corporate or Investment Banking environment.
