Student Career Development Specialist
Description The Student Career Development Specialist, advises students regarding career issues and strategies, job search methods, resume preparation, internships and related matters including personal and professional development. The SCDS coordinates and assists in student job search readiness, search execution and job placement for students in accordance with federal, state, and college regulations, policies, and operating guidelines. The SCDS maintains confidential student development and referral records; administers student readiness assessments, surveys and questionnaires; and delivers and/or coordinates presentations, workshops, and seminars, as appropriate to the position and the development of professional student. Participates as appropriate in student development systems/procedures planning and management; implements and coordinates specific individual student programs and/or assignments, in accordance with the overall placement objectives of the department.
